Of course, in order to do this, we need to connect the device to the phone via each manufacturer's app. We offer a variety of alternatives here, like Huawei Health, Mi Fit, Zepp, Wear OS, etc. Additionally, if we find that it does not change after a few seconds, we must enter the program that we use on the smartphone since the smartband has to be synced with the mobile.
Therefore, if we wish to modify the time on a smart watch, we must understand how to do it within the terminal itself. In order to make things plain to you, we will outline all the actions you must do on both Android terminals and Apple mobile devices.
using Android
On an Android phone, whether it is an OPPO, Xiaomi, Realme, or any other brand that uses this operating system, the method to changing it will be fairly easy and identical.
We merely need to launch the Settings program and navigate to the System section to accomplish this. However, you may also type "Date and time" into the fast search box at the top of the settings.
The choices will then need to be activated. Utilize network time (to make adjustments automatically) and Use the time zone offered by the network (to avoid selecting it manually), so that the system may directly use the network to which the connected device is linked to alter these variables. And if we want to configure it manually, it will be simple to do so by unchecking these choices.
with iPhone
The fact is that things won't really get much more difficult with Apple mobiles either. Therefore, the settings are the best place to start if you want to alter the time on a wristwatch from an iPhone. In essence, because, as we'll learn later, not all wristbands let us alter it from the wearable's default setup.
Because of this, we need to go to iOS's Settings> General> Date and time. We can modify the format of the clock in this part. Additionally, we may manually set the time if we deactivate the automatic adjustment for the time (which mixes the network's and our location's time zones), albeit we will need to do so after each time zone shift. We shall thus have the power to modify it.
Can you modify it using the clock?
Yes, however not all of the smart watches or smartbands available on the market let us change this. For instance, we are unable to configure this part using the configuration of Huawei, Amazfit, or Xiaomi wearables. This change is instead sent to us by the Apple Watch, OPPO Watch, or Galaxy Watch. The reason for this, however, in the case of these two brands is that they both employ the Wear OS operating system.
using Apple Watch
We can modify the Apple Watch's time using an option included in the settings of these smartwatches, much like we could with analog clocks. The sphere will be the only thing that changes when this change is made manually, though. Why does this matter? Well, when the mobile phone rings, notifications or alerts from various apps on the terminal will still be received.
Go to Settings > Clock after turning on the Apple Watch screen. We will initially see that it says "+0 min" there, meaning that the precise time that is displayed on the smartphone is there. So, all we have to do is go from 1 minute to 59 minutes. Only we are able to speed up time in this situation rather than slow it down. After configuration, select Adjust.
Wear OS-enabled watches
When using a Wear OS-equipped device, such as an OPPO Watch or a Galaxy Watch, we can change the time on the smart watch even when it is not linked to a smartphone.
We must access the clock settings and then hit the gear icon to accomplish this. For Samsung devices, we must go for the General area, while for OPPO wearables, we must enter "System." Finally, the Date and Time function is located in this section. To edit it anyway we want on the smartwatch, we must choose the Adjust / Set option there. The procedures differ because both devices in this case—ColorOS and One UI—use various customisation layers.
However, you may try going into Settings> System/General on other devices that we haven't listed to check whether the Date and time option is there. However, after you've connected the activity bracelet to your phone, you may change it from there.
Why is it not syncing?
Unlinking the smart watch from the phone will be the most efficient approach to update the time accurately if you can't get it to sync with the phone. However, before doing that, it's preferable to restart the device and close and reopen any apps you're using on your phone.
