Satellite connectivity isn't precisely the latest technology lately. Lately, SpaceX seems to be doing this hebdomadally. Takeoff usually begins with a land-based missile, is dear and time consuming to launch. Aevum believes it's massive Ravn X can roll in the hay better, for fewer money.
At 80 feet long and 18 feet long, the Ravn X is that the largest unmanned aircraft within the world, Evom says. Driven by Aevum's proprietary program, the drone will fly to a specified altitude, where it'll launch a missile to deliver a payload of small satellites into low Earth orbit. Aevum said the launch system is 70% reusable. CEO Jay Skylos hopes to shut to 100%.
"The first stage can only land, drop another missile, and it can begin again, a bit like a passenger plane at the gate." Skylus told CNET. Test flights are expected to start this year.
Aevum said it's already earned quite $ 1 billion in launch contracts. This includes a contract with the US Space Force to deliver 360 satellites into low Earth orbit. Skylus said this might happen as soon as this year.
