Wristcam is a one-of-a-kind Apple Watch band. With the inclusion of a front- and back-facing camera for image and video, this band breathes fresh life into the Apple Watch. This $299 watch band is approved for Apple Watch and was created by a team of former Apple Watch designers and app developers.
Specs
The Apple Watch's first dedicated camera sports an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. It can capture 4K images and 1080p video. It also has an internal storage capacity of 2,000 images or an hour of video.
What's in the package
Along with the Wristcam, you'll find a dual USB-A power adaptor and charger in the packaging. Don't be scared; the Wristcam is a fairly large wristband. A user manual is included, as well as an additional strap that consumers may modify to their satisfaction.
When it comes to charging, I usually do so twice a week. The Wristcam is charged using a MagSafe-like charger, which takes around 30 minutes to an hour. If you're curious about the state of your battery, you may check it on the Wristcam app.
Before you begin, you'll need to download the Wristcam app and establish an account on your iPhone. Your iPhone and Apple Watch will both have the app. The software will walk you through the setup process, allowing you to adjust settings as necessary.
Your Apple Watch now has a camera
Wristcam is an excellent method to snap images or movies without having to carry your iPhone. You may download photographs and movies to Photos, edit them, and share them with others using the iPhone app. There are also Siri commands for operating the camera. There are also watch faces available to download that includes a button that launches the Wristcam software.
Wristcam may be worn when swimming, bathing, exercising, and other activities, much like your Apple Watch. Rubber makes the band simple to clean and water-resistant.
Is FaceTime compatible with it?
Because Wristcam is a third-party attachment, it is not compatible with FaceTime. You may still video chat and exchange video messages with others. You can send a video message to someone who doesn't have a Wristcam, but they'll need to download the Wristcam app to watch it.
Why should you buy a wristcam?
While a wrist cam isn't for everyone, there are times when it's an excellent idea. I don't always have my iPhone with me because I have a cellular Apple Watch. Wristcam gives me the ability to take photos immediately from my wrist. I prefer to think of the gadget as a wrist-mounted GoPro. Overall, I believe this is an excellent watch band for anyone who is sporty, outdoorsy, or a GoPro enthusiast.
You may get one on the company's website if you're interested. The regular band is available for $299.
